Um die Möglichkeiten der Dental-Computertomographie vollständig auszuschöpfen, wurden spezielle Softwareprogramme entwickelt, mit denen die Position, Neigung, Länge und Drchmesser von Zahnimplantaten dreidimensional geplant werden können. Durch eine exakte dreidimensionale Planung können alle Möglichkeiten in Betracht gezogen und das der jeweiligen Patientensituation am besten entsprechende Konzept verwirklicht werden.
